For over ten years, the Farm Fest Terre Ferme Festival has attracted devoted fans from across the country to Willow Bunch, a town previously most famous for Édouard Beaupré, one of the tallest men in history, known as the Willow Bunch Giant. Today, the small community boasts a Folk Music Festival that attracts Juno Award winners and household names.
How did Willow Bunch score such an incredible coup? The music festival was created by artists themselves and is hosted by the Campagne family on their organic, family farm just outside of Willow Bunch. You may recognize the Campagnes from bands such as Folle Avoine and Hart Rouge.
This year, the festival will also showcase the next generation of Campagnes, including singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Aleksi Campagne AND the gypsy-pop band Les Barricades fronted by Gabriel Campagne, both of whom are currently touring with their debut albums. Speaking of, check out what is sure to become a song of the summer, Kick of the Good Stuff, co-written by Gabriel and Aleksi Campagne.
AND for the first time, we will also be featuring powerhouse blues singer and six-time winner of the Maple Blues Award Suzie Vinnick! This native of Saskatoon will be coming back to home to Saskatchewan from her adoptive home in Toronto to share songs from her new album Shake The Love Around launched in March of this year!
