March is ‘One Book, One Province Month’ in Saskatchewan

Our Culture, Our Food
The Saskatchewan Government has proclaimed March 2018 as “One Book One Province Month,” and all Saskatchewan citizens are invited to read Out of Old Saskatchewan Kitchens, by Amy Jo Ehman. This book traces the history of our province through food that has been gathered, grown, prepared and eaten.  From First Nations and Métis people, to immigrants from Europe, Asia and the United States, the people who lived here used all available ingredients to feed their families.  The book is about people, history, and culture as reflected in their (our) food.
Plan or attend a One Book One Province event. Information on events, including author readings around the province, as well as ideas for hosting your own event, are available on the project web site: .
Watch Facebook (One Book One Province Saskatchewan) and Twitter (@onebookSK) for updates and contests, and join in the fun!
