Regina Cross Cultural Sharing Circle: “Let’s all be together!”

The Regina Cross Cultural Sharing Circle is an opportunity for people to share their knowledge, reflections, and views about their own cultures on a variety of topics. It is also for people who are interested in listening and learning about different cultural perspectives on those topics. Through this exchange, it is hoped that participants will learn about the values, beliefs, and expectations that guide the behaviour of people who belong to various social-cultural groups. Perhaps, this exposure will increase their own awareness about the values, beliefs, and expectations that they learned and internalized from their particular social-cultural group, but took for granted. Ultimately, the goal is to encourage the development of empathy for and increase understanding about cultural differences.
