Sixties Scoop Apology Sharing Circles

The Sixties Scoop Indigenous Society of Saskatchewan (SSISS) and the Government of Saskatchewan have partnered to engage Indigenous Survivors on how the Sixties Scoop experience has impacted them, their families and how an apology may be used as part of their healing journey. Survivors are invited to share their stories, thoughts and concerns to help prepare a meaningful apology from the Government of Saskatchewan.

This is our call out to survivors of the Sixties Scoop. If you were adopted, permanent or temporary wards, and are status, eligible to be status, non-status, or Metis – We want to hear from you. What would a meaningful apology look like to you?

Please share with your contacts as there will be Sharing Circles on the following dates and locations;

Fort Qu’Appelle – November 17 – 7.30 AM to 3.00 PM

Treaty Four Governance Centre
740 Sioux Ave South

Other upcoming sharing circles:

  • Regina – November 24 & 25

Attached is a brochure invitation to all Sixties Scoop survivors.
