Behind Harbour Landing School
Summer Bash YQR
2017 witnessed the first ever Summer Bash (www.summerbash.ca) that brought together 9,200 people in our community to learn, explore and celebrate together. Albert Park & Harbour Landing Community Association is the host and coordinator of the event.
The motivation is to provide a culturally appropriate event while providing authentic engagement with the community. A strong family, school and community bond is a focus through building a climate of belonging. We have developed six guiding pillars in our delivery of these community events.
An important feature of all the Summer Bash pillars is that it is offered 100% free to the community. We believe that all citizens, no matter the economic situation of a family, should be able to enjoy positive family engagement, connection and growth. These pillars are Cultural Discovery, Celebration of Arts, Impactful Education, Participation in Sports, Community Connection, and Supporting Local.
Please join us for Regina’s largest one day festival on Sunday, August 26, 2018.
See you there,
Adam Hicks, Co-Chair
