On November 19, the University of Regina will host speaker, award-winning documentarian, and co-founder of the Chanie Wenjack Fund, Mike Downie.

Moved by the story of an Indigenous boy who ran away from a residential school, Mike continues the work of his late brother – the acclaimed musician Gord Downie – through a multi-media project, Secret Path, that has captured the hearts and minds of Canadians across the country. An inspirational story-teller, Mike is on a mission to challenge Canadians to reconcile our country’s past.

This speaker series is part of the University of Regina’s You Belong Here anti-discrimination campaign.
