Each year, the India Canada Association (ICA) hosts a Supper Night – a lively celebration of Indian cuisine and entertainment. What began as a small gathering has grown into one of the most prestigious fundraisers in the province. This year marked the 32nd annual India Supper Night.
“The ICA annual dinner also helps us to respect each other’s values and culture and also contribute back to our community which we call our home,” explained India Supper Night Chair, Renu Kapoor.
It must be noted that the event simply could not be possible without the tremendous commitment of volunteers, sponsors, special guests, and venue staff.
The fundraising achievements of Supper Night are a source of great pride for ICA. Over the years, it has been able to raise $400,000 for both local and international charities. This year over $40,000 was raised for the Big Brothers of Regina.
“I believe celebration of Multiculturalism is very essential in our lives regardless of cast, color, creed, faith and ethnic background. Multiculturalism is, who we are, what we have and what we can become by sharing,” said Kapoor.
