Regina media highlights Youth Leadership at MCoS Arrêt/Stop Racism Workshop

On February 12, 2014 MCoS hosted its fifth annual Arrêt/Stop Racism Youth Leadership Workshop in Regina. Approximately 50 students and teachers attended from six schools across the city and surrounding area. This workshop was based on the notion of peers leading peers in anti-racism education so that everyone involved may become champions of anti-racism work in their communities. Workshops and facilitator training took place in Saskatoon and Regina.

This workshop offered an opportunity for high school students to participate in an anti-racism leadership workshop. Students will engage with peers from throughout the province as they participate in activities to explore identity, intercultural relationships, power, privilege, racism and discrimination. They will learn to facilitate these activities for use in the local school and community.  This workshop serves as great prep for the International Day for the Elimination of Racism on March 21st.

MCoS is very grateful for the tremendous support and coverage from the local Regina media. Below are links to the various media who covered this important event.
