Reception with Artist in Residence: Patrick Fernandez

Join us as we celebrate the art of Patrick Fernandez called Sumasayaw sa Indak ng mga Alon // Dancing in the Rhythm of the Waves. Patrick’s work is based on his Filipino heritage, culture, folklore and festival.

During his residency, Patrick created an interactive installation for visitors of all ages to explore ideas of culture through an individual’s journey with uphill climbs, downhill struggles, and celebrating the lessons learned along the way.

In the spirit of festival, and in recognition of Patrick’s home province of Pangasinan, we celebrate his work on the day of “Pista’y Dayat.”

We invite you to enjoy some food, visit with Patrick and, if you wish, create a banderita that will be added to the installation. All are welcome, as we celebrate Patrick’s hard work of filling the space with an abundance of wonder and joy.
