Whitewood School Multicultural Day

Whitewood School will be participating in Multicultural week by doing a one-day event on November 23rd. The first theme is “Celebrate Community”. We are going to do a cultural community day where people in the community come out and display their culture with food, clothing, posters, symbols, etc.

The next theme is “Honor Diversity”, we are going to show this by having students and community engage in the event held at the school where we show the importance of honoring diversity and understanding that each culture is important.

The third theme is Act for Equity, where we hope to get a presenter out from the Multicultural Coordinator through MCOS which will focus on Building equitable and inclusive schools by celebrating community, honouring diversity and acting for equity – the learning will be tailor-made for each of the three groups with interactive activities and role-playing.
