Anti-Black Racism Event for Children & Youth

October 24, 2020

This event is being hosted by Children First Canada in collaboration with the BlackNorth Initiative (BNI) and we’re thrilled to feature Wes Hall (Executive Chair and Founder of BNI) as our keynote speaker. We will also be joined by several Parliamentarians, including Senator Wanda Thomas Bernard (Independent), MP Kenny Chiu (Conservative), MP Matthew Green (NDP), MP Jenica Atwin (Green).

The Young Canadians’ Parliament is a youth-led program and is free and open to all children and youth up to the age of 18. This month’s event includes sessions focused on learning about anti-Black racism in Canada and how to stand in solidarity with Black Canadians, a session for Black youth on how to advocate for themselves when they experience anti-Black racism, and along with a Q&A session between the youth and the Parliamentarians.
