‘We Will Stand Up’ is a 2019 Canadian documentary film directed by Tasha Hubbard that is centered on the 2016 killing of Colten Boushie.

The film shows his family’s fight for justice and their struggle against systemic racism that ended in acquittal of the man who killed Colten.

The screening will be followed by conversations with panelists Doug Cuthand, journalist and independent Filmmaker, and Chief George Cote.

The Yorkton Community Forum will be moderated by the E.D of MCoS Rhonda Rosenberg. The first screening will begin at 1:30 p.m. Second at 7:00 p.m. Doors open 30 minutes before the screening in order to comply with the COVID-19 protocols. Attendees are asked to use the entrance facing Broadway Street West. Attendees will be asked COVID-19 screening questions and be temperature checked. The viewing will take place in the Regency Ballroom on the lower level.
